OIL FUTURES: Crude Ends Down; Brent Hit by Oil Release Talks Read more: http://www.foxbusiness.com/

Fox Business -- U.S. benchmark crude oil futures settled slightly weaker Friday, capping turbulent trading with a wary outlook on whether a brewing storm will pose a threat to key U.S. Gulf Coast oil production and refining operations.
Meantime, prices of ICE North Sea Brent crude, the widely traded European benchmark, dropped more than 1% on increased talk about the potential for a release of emergency consumer-held oil reserves in response to stubbornly high oil prices.
Maria Van Der Hoeven, the executive director of the International Energy Agency, which coordinates energy policies and management of emergency stockpiles for the major industrial nations, said a week ago there was "no reason" to tap the strategic reserves, given current market conditions.

Large quantities of gas get exported elsewhere simply because people elsewhere are willing to pay a higher price for it. It would be absolutely stupid (a.k.a. "liberalthink") to sell a commodity locally for below-market value IF you wanted to stay in business and make a profit. As for Republican defenders of Big Oil, all you need do is see who raked in some of the highest contributions from oil companies. Here's a hint: his name is OBOZO! As far as "Abdul" being in bed with the Republicans, just remember that it was Obozo who went around the Middle East, apologizing to and bowing to the Arab world, slighting Israel in the process. Also remember during the last election that Obozo got an endorsement from that wonderful terrorist organization, Hamas. In other words, you're batting zero!

It closed down yesterday as well, but not low enough, at 3.07 on the market , however that could have changed in after market trades! will not show up at the pump till next week! Still over charging at the pumps , just enough to make extra profits and not to call gouaging! Bunch of oil company crooks!

How does that happen. It's been in the ground for 1000's of years before it is discovered, pumped out and transported to a storage facility. All of a sudden its going to go stale?????? OK, it someone would attack the US and WW3 starts, then it's a good idea. But, oil in and oil out (oil gets stale, so it doesn't sit in the reserve tanks forever... it is always being pumped in, resold, pumped out, then new oil comes in. Someone is making money from this process, but it isn't the American taxpayer.
