Maybe ALL states need to pass a law like Arizona did.
If as a business, you're found to have knowingly hired "undocumented" workers ([cough] illegal immigrants [/cough]), then they can strip the business of it's license to conduct business in the state of Arizona.
It's the companies and businesses that knowingly hire undocumented workers that have fueled the massive number of illegal immigrants in the U.S., which in turn, have provided a screen for the illegal drug trafficing across the Mexico/U.S. border.

Anything to save a buck. Of course Schauer wants an investigation! I agree that corporations should be responsible for the subcontractors they hire. Once again, anything to save a buck.

Hmm, Big Oil using undocumented workers...And senators and governors from the border states of Arizona and Texas (and even California to some extent) have historically not cared about the supply of cheap, not likely to file a lawsuit if abused, undocumented labor because...

I would like to see a law that stipulates that corporations are equally responsible for the illegal acts of the contractors they hire. It is Enbridge's responsibility and fiduciary duty to check they people and contractors they hire. Outsourcing like this currently simply allows corporations to shift responsibility to someone else.

Apparently these workers must be cheaper. So much for buy American. 42 undocumented workers is a lot of undocumented workers. And this is a Canadian pipeline.
