There's too much California hate in this thread. We didn't ask for the gas to be this high and we don't get into the special formulated gas until the Spring. This is absolutely ridiculous!

As I said yesterday California and their specially formulated gasoline will be the first to $5.00, sadly Washington and Oregon will not be far behind, Regular at the corner station is 3.89, mid grade is 4.11, and super is 4.23.

You reap what you sow....
If you consistantly vote eco-friendly tree-hugging liberals into office you get an economy (and gas prices) that reflect that.
CALIFORNIA is a beautiful state and I was in the service there, but there is an exceedingly too many liberal idiots living there, so I will never call CA home. They can have it.

As gas prices soar, Californians test life above the $4-a-gallon mark and will life continue to exist in California at that price? It already is above the $4-a-gallon mark in California! Big oil exports fuel and natural gas to the world for higher profits. Barry supports natural gas and oil production for sale to the world to help pay for his *spending gone wild* addiction. Speculators, manipulators and the banks continue to unfairly and unjustly make the driving public pay higher prices at the pump for their benefit. Whatever the size or shape of the vehicle, Produce and ‘Drive’ vehicles with high MPG, are very reliable, have a ‘reasonable’ cost and a good ‘value’ for the money. Consider using ‘other’ forms of transportation to help lower your cost. The price of fuel at the pump is too high! 12/22/2012!

I read recently the average Californian drives more miles than anyone else in the world. Maybe some need to change their habits?

California is the home of the very privilaged and the common folk. Some don't notice the cost and others are buried by it.

Why is it every time you see high gas prices, its on a Shell sign??? Even in my town Shell is alway the first station to jack up the gas prices... Why is it that everyone follows Shell prices???
Here is a plan no one buy Shell gas for 3 months and see if they still want to be the highest gas in town...
What would happen if Shell lost our business, even for 1 month???
This may be the only way we can slow the gas prices??? 1 day is just a joke everyone would fill up the day before or the day after... 1 week may work but not sure... I thinking 1 month of no sells should send them the message of lower prices or go out of business... Then again 3 month may be what will work the best???

The higher the price, the harder it can be for drivers. We have faced this before, but with a low economy, more trouble is one the way. That is bad news.

Between the Federal and State governments wanting higher prices to fund the reckless spending it is likely that CA will be seeing at least $5/gallon this year.

California resists the criminal one percent Wall Street tycoons, we pay through the nose. $5 gas out here long before the rest of the nation. The Newtered Grinch is here tonight lying his way through the Calif State Republican Convention. Could be he wants to put a grinch on the Moon. Let it be the fat basterd himself.
