Great post about nuclear power. I was a reactor operator on three nuc subs and worked 20+ years in commercial nuc power. Too bad the industry is in the current shape.

This particular refinery is in North Dakota, where it can refine product to feed the equipment in the North Dakota oil fields. As a general case, the market is just not there to support spending the eight billion dollars it would take to bring a new refinery of reasonable size on line. Phillips 66, the largest pure-play refiner in the country, has said as much.
