I can't imagine that thing passing the National Highway Traffic Safety impact guidelines. Hopefully Fiord Exploders will clear it; just scratching its roof instead of flattening it on the grill like a fat Junebug.

Madison8359, 1 for 3. Pasta is Chinese, and the Pope is German. Or were you making some kind of comment on the international aspect of the modern automotive business?

Pasta, Sophia Loren, and the pope are enough Italian for me for now.

The more options for the consumers to choose from the better. As more and more smaller vehicles make even small headway into the public, it will become a more "normal" aspect, and continue to gain popularity. There will always be a need for larger vehicles and trucks, but it may be more for companies and work, or rentals for moving in the long run. Time will tell.

If I had to compare this car, it wouldn't be to a Mini. I would compare it to the Toyota Yaris. I don't think the Yaris is exactly screaming of dealer lots.

Most of us will remember FIAT's last efforts to sell cars here in the 1980's. Cars that would not start under 25 deg., cars that rusted out in 3 years, wipers that would not work, oil leaks, transmission leaks, electrical faults , etc. etc. They better have improved them. Canada is not Italy.

Mini Cooper is a superior automobile. Don't get conned into a substitute. Think about the quality and your safety.
